EVALUATION

Overall, I enjoyed doing this topic. I liked learning about historical hair designs and different ways in which the Elizabethans would style their hair and how they would do so. My final design on my partner went really well and using real roses in a design was completely new to be and I seemed to pick it up quite well. My design that my partner did on me also went well, I was very happy with the outcome, even though my head piece didn't arrive on time. I did a lot of research online and in books and watched the film 'Elizabeth' multiple times, whilst always taking notes. Creating a look with someone else's design was also a brand new thing to me. Luckily, I got on with my partner well and when things didn't work out so well, we compromised to make the look better. If I were to redo the topic, I would watch documentaries on Queen Elizabeth to get extra information about her and her lifestyle which I could reflect in my design. I mostly enjoyed the practicals, learning new designs and practicing them on the Katy head and on others is something I have never done before and something I really liked and can't wait to do next semester.
